This study aims to analyze the fundamental differences between existentialism and scholasticism in the context of education, as well as their implications for teaching methods. Existentialism, which emphasizes individual freedom, personal choice, and authenticity, contrasts with scholasticism, which prioritizes rational thought and the authority of traditional teachings. In educational contexts, existentialism tends to support more flexible, student centered approaches, while scholasticism leans toward systematic, structured teaching methods grounded in the authority of classical texts. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a philosophical analysis method to explore how these two philosophical traditions influence teaching methods in educational systems. The findings indicate that, despite their vastly different approaches, both traditions offer valuable contributions in shaping educational goals and processes. Existentialism fosters creativity and free thinking, while scholasticism provides a strong foundation for knowledge acquisition and intellectual discipline. Therefore, this study proposes the potential integration of both philosophical perspectives in designing a holistic curriculum that balances individual freedom with a clear academic structure
