Peer Review Process

Al-Imtiyaz: Journal of Holistic Education adopts a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and academic rigor of the published articles. This process is designed to provide constructive feedback and improve the overall quality of the research published in the journal. The steps involved in the peer review process are as follows:

  1. Submission of Manuscripts: Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online submission system. The submitted manuscripts should adhere to the journal's guidelines, including formatting and referencing style.

  2. Initial Screening: The editorial team conducts an initial screening of each submitted manuscript to ensure it aligns with the journal's scope and focus. Manuscripts that do not meet the submission criteria will be rejected at this stage.

  3. Assignment to Reviewers: After the initial screening, manuscripts that pass the initial review are assigned to two independent reviewers who are experts in the field of holistic education or related disciplines. The peer review process is double-blind, meaning that both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the process.

  4. Peer Review: The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

    • Relevance to the field of holistic education.
    • Originality and contribution to the existing body of knowledge.
    • Clarity of research objectives, methodology, and conclusions.
    • Quality of writing, structure, and organization.
    • Ethical considerations, including proper citation and acknowledgement of sources.

Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement, focusing on enhancing the manuscript’s academic rigor and clarity.

  5. Reviewers' Feedback: After reviewing the manuscript, the reviewers submit their feedback to the editorial team. They can recommend one of the following decisions:

    • Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication without major revisions.
    • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires small changes or clarifications before acceptance.
    • Major Revision: The manuscript needs significant revisions, and a resubmission will be required.
    • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope.
  6. Decision and Notification: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes the final decision regarding the manuscript’s acceptance. The authors are then notified about the outcome of the review process. If revisions are requested, authors must address the feedback and submit a revised version of the manuscript.

  7. Final Acceptance: Once the manuscript is revised and the reviewers are satisfied with the changes, the manuscript is accepted for publication. The authors are notified and the manuscript is prepared for publication in the next issue of the journal.

  8. Publication: After the final approval, the manuscript is typeset and published in the journal. Authors will be informed of the publication date and receive a copy of the final published article.
