Causal Analysis in Needs-Based Islamic Education Planning: A Strategic Approach for Educational Development

This research examines the significance of causal analysis in recognizing educational requirements within the framework of Islamic education development. In the realm of educational planning, assessing needs is a crucial process for pinpointing discrepancies between desired conditions and real situations in educational organizations. Nevertheless, numerous educational initiatives continue to be created without a thorough exploration of the fundamental causes of current issues, leading to solutions that are less effective and unable to sustain themselves over time. Consequently, a causal analysis method is essential for uncovering the core elements that contribute to the identification of educational needs. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing a literature review to analyze different sources related to causal analysis, needs assessment, and the planning of Islamic education. The results show that causal analysis is vital in uncovering the fundamental causes of educational difficulties, which include internal elements such as students, educators, and management of institutions, in addition to external influences like social settings, educational policies, technological advancements, and shifts in culture. Moreover, applying causal analysis enhances the creation of educational programs that are more responsive, effective, and focused on existing needs. This method also aids in the decision-making processes within Islamic educational institutions by facilitating systematic and evidence-driven planning. Therefore, causal analysis can act as a strategic method for enhancing the quality of Islamic education planning in today's context.
