Konsep Filsafat Panca Jiwa Pondok Alumni Darussalam Gontor dalam Pembentukan Karakter Santri (Studi Kasus pada Pondok Pesantren Darul Istiqamah Barabai dan Pondok Pesantren Teknologi Pertanian Al Islam Tabalong)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the philosophical concept of Panca Jiwa of the Darussalam Gontor Alumni Boarding School and its implementation in the character formation of students at the Darul Istiqamah Barabai Islamic Boarding School and the Al Islam Tabalong Agricultural Technology Islamic Boarding School. Panca Jiwa, which includes sincerity, simplicity, independence, Islamic brotherhood, and freedom, is seen as the philosophical foundation of Islamic boarding school education that is oriented towards the integral formation of students' personalities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis uses an interactive analysis model. The results of the study indicate that the values ​​of Panca Jiwa in both Islamic boarding schools are internalized through the education system, Islamic boarding school culture, the exemplary behavior of kiai and ustaz, as well as intracurricular and extracurricular activities. The implementation of Panca Jiwa contributes significantly in shaping the character of students who are noble, disciplined, independent, have a spirit of togetherness, and are responsible in social and religious life. This study concludes that the Panca Jiwa philosophy of the Darussalam Gontor Alumni Boarding School is relevant and effective as a basis for developing the character of students in the context of modern and diverse Islamic boarding schools.
